China and Pakistan works together to develop world class tourism industry

The Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Moin ul Haque, announced that there are boundless possibilities presented in the development of tourism industry between China and Pakistan. The promise is that both countries would work jointly for the development of a world class tourist industry over the next decade.

While Moin ul Haque was giving a speech at the launching ceremony of Qingdao Boutique Tourism Promotion Association via video link, he said that “A Chinese website has been set up for this purpose, which I believe will be available to you soon. Given the long-standing friendly relations between China and Pakistan, I am sure that our two countries will work together to develop the endless potential of the tourism industry sharing of both sides,”

Ambassador Moin ul Haque also emphasized on the importance of tourism in reinforcing investment promotion, cultural exchanges, economic and social development between countries on the occasion. The Ambassador stated that the development of tourism played a significant role in the rejuvenation of rural and remote areas of China. It was also an essential part that contributes to the mission of getting rid of poverty.

Furthermore, in the course of the upturn from the epidemic era, the relevance of tourism has been confirmed in other countries as well as China.

The Ambassador highlighted that Pakistan, being a country with rich cultural diversity, beautiful landscape and intriguing ancient civilization, is quickly progressing and developing into a substantial tourist destination in the region. The Pakistan government was actively involved in promoting tourism-related construction to draw and captivate more and more international tourists to choose the country (Pakistan) as their favoured tourist destination. The Ambassador also pointed out the opportunities for investment that comes from developing the tourism infrastructure in Pakistan.

In recent years Pakistan has been actively invested in developing its tourism industry. This has been effective as the country has been commended by publications like Condé Nast Traveler and Forbes as one of the top tourist destinations for 2020. Also receiving positive feedback in the process, was the royal visit from Prince William and Kate Middleton back in October 2019.

In other related news, Mian Kashif Ashfaq the chairman of FIEDMC (Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company) briefed Long Dingbin, the Chinese Consul General about the in-progress projects in AIIC.

In the meeting, Kashif commended China’s support for projects under CPEC. Also, Pakistani-China relations were addressed in detail, current projects under CPEC and other relevant topics of mutual interests were also discussed.

During this meeting, Long Dingbin stated that since Imran Khan the current Prime Minister of Pakistan came into office, the relationship between Pakistan and China has grown stronger and more exemplary than it was before. He believes that bilateral and trade relations could be further improved during the tenure of the present Pakistan government. Long went further to state that FIEDMC’s decision to create a different special economic zone for Chinese investors was a great idea “We are standing firmly by Pakistan and will never leave it alone” Long added.
